Adrian Slatcher writes poetry, fiction and criticism, and lives in Manchester.
Alongside Nicholas Royle, David Gaffney, Sarah-Clare Conlon, Sarah Butler and Elizabeth Baines I performed at the Didsbury Arts Festival in July as part of the RE/Place(d) event.
My story “Last Days of the Midland” is a dark urban tale about a small time drug dealer in early 1990s South Manchester.
I took some suitably verite footage of Manchester to accompany it, ably edited by Steve Hansen. I’ve now added the reading to the film and put on YouTube for your enjoyment.
